Nuestra Historia
As the Founder and Owner, I’d love to show you how I got here. LA CHISPITA™ Bienes Raíces Comerciales has a name inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has amplified the challenges facing small business owners of color. Moreover, there is a lack of awareness of available services among business owners of color, who report disengagement from the ecosystem and each other.
I wanted to help more Latino business owners and the Hispanic business community with their purchase, lease strategy, and small business development solutions. I dove face-first into following my passions to start my own Latino-focused commercial real estate and advisory consulting firm. From the beginning, I felt passionate about bringing that same integrity to the frustratingly tenant and buyer representation commercial real estate industry.
OUR LOGO
The unique logo builds on a solid foundation based on a sense of purpose, values, strong moral principles, and a commitment to pioneering solutions through inventive design. The name LA CHISPITA™ is derived from the music album La Chispita by Mariachi Chapultepec de Arturo Lopez. It is to pay tribute and honor my deceased father, Alberto Lopez and the Lopez Brothers. It also means unleashing the power “the spark” of the underestimated Latino business owners and the Hispanic business community to build a more inclusive economy in South Texas.
La Vihuela, the silhouette instrument in front, symbolizes the mariachi musical instrument played by my deceased father, Alberto Lopez. It encompasses our company purpose to drive growth, fuel innovation, and ensure that we meet the needs of our clients. It begins with Latino business owners who are creative, determined, and entrepreneurial, pursue goals until they reach them, and when obstacles arise, we become even more determined to succeed.
The three buildings embody three pillars of success and characterize the three Lopez brothers, strategy, perseverance, and mindset. Apply those consistently, with belief and faith, symbolized by the small cross, and your business should be a success.

As your tenant and buyer advocate, we act as your virtual real estate division. We’ll advise you through all phases of the transaction process while giving you the tools to make the best decisions for your business.
We interpret the regulations and identify the correct zoning for each different use category.
We locate properties that are zoned correctly for a conditional use permit or other applicable licensure.
We clear the property of all sensitive uses to minimize risk of a failed local and state application.
